ABOUT
CAIA DIEPENBROCK IS AN INTERDISCIPLINARY ARTIST & DESIGNER BASED IN BROOKLYN, NY.
Raised in Rhode Island by two professional artists, Caia has always been surrounded by design and creativity. Before going to college, she earned a Certificate in Photography from Rhode Island School of Design’s Continuing Ed Program. She then earned her Bachelor’s Degree in Studio Art from Bard College in 2015 with a concentration in Psychology and Spanish. Her senior thesis was an immersive installation called "Matrix of a Moment” that ultimately led her to a career in set decorating and production design when she moved to Los Angeles in 2016. Since then, Caia has led a dynamic career as a freelance Art Director in a variety of industries including film, brand activations and in-person events, home makeovers, and mural painting.
She was recently awarded an Emmy certificate for her work as Design Producer on Season 7 of Netflix’s Queer Eye and has production designed several acclaimed films shown at Tribeca and Sundance Film Festivals. She has worked with a variety of companies and brands including Rooftop Cinema Club, Dyson, Vans, Visa and Walmart. She has designed sets for artists such as Janelle Monae, Earthgang, Wiz Khalifa, Hopsin, SG5, Courtney Barnett, Lizzy McAlpine and more. You can see Caia’s murals at several Rooftop Cinema Club locations nationwide, in the Arts District of Los Angeles, and all across the art and branding for Madison Cunningham’s Grammy-winning album “Revealer.”
Alongside her work as a production designer, Caia loves to travel and maintains her own studio art practice that includes painting, printmaking, installation art and, most recently, embroidered vintage clothing (check it out at shopcaia.com) .
