BEHIND THE SCENES
We built this set from scratch using a collage of recycled set walls to create a layered, partially destroyed look that reflects the inner chaos happening in Hopsin’s mind. We scenic painted the flats to create a smoked pit, post-house fire look that added to the chaotic but artistic feel of the space. The video is a series of vignettes playing out the dark, self-destructive thoughts that go through his mind. He wanted the world to feel distressed and like it had gone up in flames, sending references of a location that had been on fire and We filmed it all using a robot arm camera rig that was able to portray Hopsin talking and interacting in scenes with himself.
