Set inside of a gorgeous hotel called the Emily Hotel in the Fulton Market area of Chicago, this Rooftop Cinema Club gave us a unique opportunity to elevate our designs. They asked us to create a large sign for the hotel lobby, and instead of simply printing out a poster, we created a fully customized piece of floral moss art. We fabricated the frame ourselves, covered the base with moss panels, and had di-cut letters made that we covered in pretty little flowers to read “LOVE, PEACE AND GREAT FILM”. We also had a neon sign made with the peace sign icons to give it another layer of dynamism. Creating a huge sign this way was both challenging and gratifying, and it tied our aesthetic into the Emily hotel’s hip & modern feel. On the rooftop, we had fun adding our signature florals to the base of the movie screen and created an intricate yet sprawling floral installation on the “Greetings” entry sign .
